To use Taylor R-0871 FAS-DPD titrating reagent (such as Taylor Technologies R-0871-C FAS-DPD Titrating 2 oz), first add DPD indicator to your water sample; if chlorine is present, the sample turns pink. Then titrate with R0871 reagent, adding drop by drop while swirling, until the pink color disappears. The number of drops used with the Taylor R-0871 indicates your water's chlorine concentration.
