The Super Pump XE is a variable‑speed, high‑efficiency pump, so the amp draw at 240 volts depends on which speed it’s running. Compared with a typical older 1.65 HP single‑speed pump, the XE usually draws much less power at normal everyday filtration speeds because it runs at a lower RPM most of the time.
