• The pH test uses the phenol red color scale shown on the comparator.
• The chlorine test uses the FAS-DPD titration method, where you count drops until the sample turns clear rather than matching a color scale.
Because the chlorine test is a drop-count titration, the comparator block only shows the pH color scale, which can make it appear that it only measures pH.
